About

Bewl Water in Lamberhurst, Kent, is the largest reservoir in the South East of England and is open year-round. Celebrating the great outdoors with walking, running, and cycling spanning the 12.5-mile route around the reservoir, Bewl Water provides its visitors with breathtaking views, family-friendly woodland trails, and activities for all the family, including bike hire, soft play, laser tag and the free outdoor playground.

‘Where woodland meets water,’ Bewl also offers a huge selection of activities for those who like a water sports adventure. Pre-bookable activities include the seasonal Aqua Park (a giant floating inflatable obstacle course), sailing, canoeing, open water swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing, with year-round water sports day passes available for those who have their own insured sailboat or water vessel.

Nature lovers can also enjoy wildlife spotting and appreciate the hundreds of species that live at Bewl Water. Carefully managed in conjunction with The Woodland Trust and Sussex Wildlife Trust, many programmes have been successfully implemented to help protect native species.

A dedicated nature reserve and bird hide are Bewl Water's most effective efforts for protecting endangered species and their natural environment, which are both are accessible to visitors by foot.
