Poppets Cottage is a gold star, award winning cottage, The cottage is within the owners property, at St Raphael’s, a former convent on the outskirts of the village of Buxted, known as Pound Green, close to Uckfield in the heart of the Sussex High Weald.

Poppets Cottage is light and cosy with an open fire and snug sofa, a small, country style kitchen with Belfast sink, a sunny bedroom and modern bathroom.  Stunning views and great walks into the East Sussex High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. 

The property is on the outskirts of the village of Buxted close to Uckfield and can be reached by direct train from London in just over an hour.  

The owner’s house and Poppet Cottage can be accessed by the private driveway.  The Cottage is ideal for National Trust Members, walkers, riders and cyclists, (secure bike storage on-site) visitors to Ashdown Forest, Glyndebourne, Lewes, Brighton, Rye and Tunbridge Wells. There are many castles, historic houses, National Trust properties and beautiful gardens to visit and English country pubs, some famous for their gastronomy! 

The cottage is compact, well equipped and extremely bright with views onto the garden, decorated in a country vintage style. All the heating, electricity, linen, towels and logs are included in the price.  Poppets Cottage is a strictly NO smoking cottage.
