Pruning Course at Bignose and Beardy

About

Come and join them on Saturday 15th February at the Cidery Orchard for a pruning course lead by Bignose Phil.

On this half day course (10:00-14:00) you will be part of a small group getting hands on with the trees in our orchard.

You will learn:

-Why we prune our trees for health and productivity

-How to use different tools and techniques

-Different approaches for spur and tip fruiting varieties

-How to plan your pruning for each tree

-How to manage sequential pruning over several years

You'll practice the techniques on their trees under Phil's watchful eye so you are confident to work on your own trees when you go home.

Lunch and a cider tasting are included. Let them know any dietary needs.

Dress for the weather, we can supply gloves and tools and you are welcome to bring your own.

This event is at the The Cidery, Upper Brookhouse, Brookhouse Lane, Framfield TN22 5QJ

(We are the last turn on the left before the bottom of the lane coming from the village)
