The Rose Cottage in East Sussex provides self-catering accommodation within the charming village of Alciston.  The Rose Cottage was formally a traditional Sussex country pub circa 1680.  The accommodation is nestled in the picturesque Sussex Downs National Park and so the immediate area is perfect for walking.  There are many interesting attractions, towns and villages nearby to explore including the Seven Sisters Country Park, Michelham Priory and Herstmonceux Castle.
